The complete system

Plante automatic fertigation.

Plante fertigation delivers nutrients directly into the irrigation water, at the exact moment the plants need them. The system is made up of two units: the EMEC FCE 0505 K/PVDF+FP+PTFE electromagnetic dosing pump — which injects the concentrated fertilizer into the water flow — and an agitation pump installed in the nutrient barrel, which keeps the solution homogeneous and prevents sedimentation.

The assembly is installed in a compact structure made up of a fertigation reservoir, a Plante hermetic panel, the EMEC FCE 0505 K dosing pump and a 36-zone controller, with direct connection to the Atlas, Boréas or Ceres irrigation system already installed on site.

Why PVDF + FP + PTFE? Fertilizer solutions are chemically aggressive — especially those rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and chelated microelements. The PVDF (rigid body) + FP (flexible diaphragm) + PTFE (check valves) combination ensures resistance to the full range of nutrients used in Plante formulations, without degradation or contamination of the solution.
How it works

Precise injection into the irrigation flow.

The EMEC pump injects concentrated fertilizer directly into the water pipe, upstream of the capillary tubes. The injection ratio is set by the front dial from 0 to 100% — with no additional electronics, no external controllers.

Operating cycle

  1. The irrigation system (Atlas/Boréas/Ceres) opens the valve and starts the water flow
  2. The agitation pump in the barrel homogenizes the nutrient solution
  3. The EMEC FCE 0505 K injects the concentrated solution in proportion to the flow
  4. The diluted mixture runs through the capillary tubes and reaches the P20R pockets
  5. The substrate absorbs the nutrients and delivers them to the roots by capillarity
  6. At the end of the cycle, the system flushes with pure water for 2 minutes to clean the capillaries

Precise dosing

The 0–100% analog dial allows fine adjustment of the concentration. It does not rely on electronics — it works even without internet or an active controller.

Agitation pump

Keeps the nutrient solution homogeneous inside the barrel, preventing chelate sedimentation and ensuring a consistent dose in every cycle.

Compatible with all systems

It integrates with Atlas, Boréas and Ceres with no changes to the hydraulics. The injection point is installed after the Hydro ONE or the main solenoid.

Full chemical resistance

PVDF+FP+PTFE withstands concentrated fertilizers, fulvic acids, chelated EDTA and the hypochlorite used in periodic system cleaning.

Preventive maintenance

Keeping the system in shape.

Recommended weekly cleaning

  1. At the end of the last irrigation of the week, replace the barrel solution with clean water
  2. Run a full irrigation cycle with pure water (capillary flush)
  3. Turn off the agitation pump and drain the barrel
  4. Inspect the EMEC inlet tube — clean it with a soft sponge if there is any deposit

Replacing the PTFE check valves (annual)

  1. Switch off the 220V power supply
  2. Close the upstream water valve and release the pressure
  3. Disconnect the Ø 4×6mm inlet and outlet tubes
  4. Unscrew the front head (4 screws)
  5. Replace the PTFE ball valves (original EMEC kit)
  6. Check the FP diaphragm — replace it if there is any cracking or deformation
  7. Reassemble the head with uniform torque and test without pressure for 5 minutes
Use only original EMEC parts Generic valves and diaphragms do not withstand the chemical solutions used in Plante fertigation and may contaminate the system with particles of degraded material. Request the EMEC maintenance kit for the EMEC FCE 0505 K.
When the problem persists

Plante 24-hour technical support.

Before reaching out, have the pump model (FCE 0505 K), the type of nutrient used, the solution concentration and photos of the installation at hand. These elements make up the forensic package of the call and speed up the diagnosis.
