Before anything else

Water safety is life.

Vertical plants die within three days without adequate irrigation. Before any intervention in the electrical panel, notify the responsible Plante reseller and the end client. Plante does not authorize prolonged shutdowns without prior notice.

Mandatory intervention protocol
  1. Switch off the 16A WEG MDWP two-pole circuit breaker
  2. Confirm zero voltage with a multimeter at the terminals
  3. Photograph the original state of the panel (Plante forensic record)
  4. Log the intervention in the Plante app via the equipment QR code
System philosophy

Controlled water autonomy.

The Boréas System uses a reservoir manufactured by Plante itself (we do not use PVC or generic tanks) coupled to a Schneider BCS-S1 220V 1/2 HP submersible pump. The pump is commanded by a WEG CW07-10E contactor driven by two Sonoff TH Elite units with dry contact output — electrically isolating the low-voltage electronics from the inductive load of the pump.

The Sonoff POWR316D Elite sits at the panel inlet as the electrical guardian (voltage, current, power, kWh, surges) and has a native display — no additional instrumentation required. The Sonoff MS01 measures substrate moisture via an RJ9 connector on the TH Elite, closing the irrigation loop only when necessary. The Sonoff WTS01, installed in the reservoir, detects abnormal variation in water temperature: when the sensor starts measuring air temperature (Δ > 1.5°C/h), the app raises a dry reservoir alert — a single sensor that makes a traditional level sensor unnecessary.

An optional Plante Vigia Base package (R$ 599 per linear meter) adds a floor leak sensor for corporate clients who want a forensic trail in the event of an incident.

Official Plante components.

The Plante warranty covers exclusively systems assembled with the models below. Substitutions outside this specification void the contract. Reference prices from AliExpress Brazil (June/2026) — resellers buy directly, with no dependence on Plante for replacements.

NBR 5410 standard

Color code and gauge.

Cabling follows the Brazilian standard for electrical installations. Any certified electrician can carry out replacements without needing specific Plante training — the Sonoff units are sold in physical stores in Brazil and on Mercado Livre.

Recommended gauges: 2.5mm² on the 220V runs (pump and panel power), 1.5mm² on the command returns, standard Sonoff RJ9 cable on the sensors (up to 10m with an AL560/RL560 extension).

Maintenance procedures

Authorized replacements.

Replacing the Sonoff TH Elite

  1. Switch off the two-pole circuit breaker and photograph the 4 labeled terminals
  2. Disconnect L IN, N IN, L OUT, N OUT
  3. Remove the RJ9 connector of the MS01 or WTS01 sensor
  4. Release it from the DIN rail and install the new TH Elite
  5. Reconnect the cables following the Plante labels
  6. Plug the RJ9 sensor into the new module
  7. Switch the breaker back on and pair it in the eWeLink app (reseller account)
  8. Notify Plante Matrix to update the ID in the client app

Replacing the Sonoff MS01 (soil moisture)

  1. No need to switch off the breaker (the sensor is low voltage)
  2. Disconnect the RJ9 connector from the corresponding TH Elite
  3. Carefully remove the probe from the substrate
  4. Install the new MS01 at the same depth (8-12 cm)
  5. Connect the RJ9 and wait 60s for the app to report a valid reading
  6. Calibrate the minimum moisture in the app (saturated substrate = ~70%)

Replacing the Sonoff WTS01 (reservoir)

  1. Partially empty the reservoir (down to 30%)
  2. Disconnect the RJ9 from the corresponding TH Elite
  3. Remove the sensor through the reservoir lid
  4. Install the new WTS01 with the tip submerged at the minimum safety height
  5. Reconnect the RJ9 and wait 5 minutes for the thermal baseline
  6. Confirm in the app that the reservoir status reads "OK"

Replacing the Schneider BCS-S1 pump

  1. Switch off the breaker and drain the reservoir completely
  2. Uncouple the outlet piping
  3. Disconnect the pump cables from the contactor (main contacts side)
  4. Remove the pump from the reservoir
  5. Install the new pump following the flow direction
  6. Reconnect the cables respecting live/neutral
  7. Fill the reservoir, switch the breaker back on and test with a 30s cycle

When the problem persists

Plante 24-hour technical support.

Before calling, have on hand the ID of the POW and of the TH Elite units, the project address and photos of the panel and of the faulty part. These elements make up the forensic package of the call and speed up resolution.

Warranty conditional on the integrated system The Plante warranty is valid exclusively when the system keeps all the original components specified by the factory. Unauthorized substitutions (especially replacing the submersible pump with a model other than the Schneider BCS-S1) void the coverage. If in doubt, consult the regional Plante reseller before the intervention.
